Message from the Parish Priest
Greetings!
In this town of Thirunainarkurichi, which is said to be the place where Thiruvalluvar was born and lived, a new church dedicated to St. Antony has been built. This church is to be consecrated and inaugurated by The Most Rev. Nazarene Soosai, our beloved bishop of Kottar.
This church is located in a very unique spot, within the vicariate of Muttom in the diocese of Kottar, quite close to the seashore in Muttom. One unique feature of this place is how people of various communities live in harmony. People of all religions enthusiastically supported the construction of this church. I appreciate all of them.
In addition to this, several parish communities in the diocese of Kottar assisted in the construction of this church. Some parishes from the dioceses of Kuzhithurai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tuticorin also helped us in this project.
It is because of such wonderful expressions of the love of the people that this church has been constructed in such a beautiful manner and has risen up so majestically. At this moment, we hold everyone in our thoughts and express our gratitude to everyone.
We invite everyone to our consecration function on the 13th of April. With gratitude, we wish that everyone participates in this function in the spirit of love and receives the grace of God. Thank you!
In the love of Christ,
Fr. Leon S. Henson,
